Nmesomachii Nwokolo is a visual storyteller working predominantly in film and photography.
Emerging from a traditionally male dominated STEM background, Nmesomachii has grown her artistic practice having to fight to be heard in the crowd and reflects this in her work and life, through a commitment to elevating underrepresented stories, with a focus on communities of color.
She approaches her work by reflecting realism through an optimistic lens, to create scenes of inspiration that shake us away from the daily dread and chaos. In a society and time rife with uncertainty and mayhem, Nmesomachii aims to use her work to bring light into the world and remind us there is joy in reality even in the midst of darkness.
